Case Introduction
After two years of intensive research and development, Changsha Boneng has integrated a suite of key technologies in this project, including process flow optimization, high-efficiency low-pressure-drop packing, extra-large liquid distributors, a novel square tower structure, array-type gas distributors, anti-backflow entrainment collection tanks, an ultra-efficient amine solvent fugitive emission control system, and a large-span, high-strength support system, thereby establishing a comprehensive technical solution. To solidify the experimental data foundation, the company has built multiple testing systems, including a large-scale hydraulics test platform, providing robust technical support for ultra-large-scale carbon capture systems. The project was successfully commissioned in September 2025, and its actual operating performance—particularly in terms of carbon capture efficiency and energy consumption—has been outstanding. It has now become a major demonstration project in the field of carbon capture, facilitating the transition of related technologies from R&D to large-scale deployment and representing a significant milestone in the industry’s development.
