The company currently employs over 400 staff, including 36 mid- and senior-level engineering technicians, 35 certified welders, and six Level II NDT personnel qualified in radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), penetrant testing (PT), and magnetic particle testing (MT). The company is equipped with more than 1,000 pieces of machinery and boasts an annual production capacity of 25,000 tonnes of tower trays, approximately 54,000 cubic meters of packing materials, and 30,000 tonnes of equipment. Thanks to nearly three decades of relentless effort and continuous innovation by the BoNeng team, our technologies have now reached a leading position domestically.
The company has established an in-house R&D team and continues to increase investment in both funding and talent development, resulting in a series of significant R&D achievements and patents (for details, please refer to the Company’s Patent Overview).
Since 2015, the company has successively commissioned three pilot-scale test facilities as follows:
1. Pilot-scale Research System for Self-Cleaning Energy-Saving Complete Equipment
2. Experimental apparatus for studying tray hydraulics data and mass-transfer hydrodynamics data of packing
3. Adjacent tower test facility.
The company boasts in-house teams for process design, equipment design, patent development, and process package development. Drawing on and integrating the advanced technological features of both domestic and international best practices, the Technical Department of Changsha Boneng has established a mature system for process simulation and equipment design. The company independently undertakes process simulation and design for large- and medium-sized tower equipment across China and has further strengthened its capabilities by engaging renowned domestic experts and professors. Leveraging state-of-the-art international simulation software and possessing robust finite-element analysis expertise, the team is able to perform strength and stress–load analyses and design optimization for critical support components such as truss beams and other internal tower internals. In addition, the company has developed proprietary hydraulics software and possesses extensive capabilities in the development of multiple process packages, including flue-gas desulfurization, methanol distillation, organosilicon production, polysilicon production, and cyclohexanone production. Furthermore, the company collaborates with numerous leading universities and research institutions nationwide—such as the School of Chemical Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology, the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Petroleum, Tianjin University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, and the Extraction Engineering Laboratory at Tsinghua University—as well as with petrochemical design institutes. Through these partnerships, the company has repeatedly delivered end-to-end services—including design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning guidance—for new construction, capacity expansion, and technological upgrading of petrochemical facilities throughout China. As a result, the company has built substantial industry strength and accumulated rich practical experience in the design, fabrication, and quality management of large-scale towers and their internal components.
