Self-cleaning, energy-saving complete equipment utilizes the fluid dynamics of the heat-transfer medium within the heating tubes to drive automated cleaning elements through complex motions, thereby achieving effective cleaning and fouling prevention on the heat-transfer surfaces while also enhancing convective heat transfer. This results in significant energy and water savings, increased production, and improved economic benefits. As a purely mechanical, physical method, this automatic cleaning technology poses no environmental or pollution concerns. Its products have already been successfully deployed in the petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, pharmaceutical, food, light-industry, and power-generation sectors. The R&D team is led by Professor Yu, a renowned consultant who has pioneered the development of online, automated fluid-dynamic cleaning technology for machinery—a capability that is unique both domestically and internationally. This team was the first in China to conduct research in the field of fluid-dynamic automatic cleaning and fouling prevention for heat-transfer systems. Since 1986, the team has been dedicated to advancing automatic cleaning and fouling-prevention technologies, having published more than 230 academic papers, secured over 93 patents, achieved four provincial- and ministerial-level evaluations at world-leading levels, and been selected for one national key promotion program and one national Torch Program project. In the area of fluid-dynamic automatic cleaning and descaling for heat-transfer equipment—including a wide range of shell-and-tube heat exchangers such as condensers, evaporators, reboilers, and water coolers—the team’s theoretical research, technological development, and engineering applications are all at the forefront globally. The pilot-scale test tower, with dimensions of Φ1200 × 7500 mm, is designed to evaluate the hydrodynamics and mass-transfer performance of both plate towers and packed towers. The R&D team is headed by Professor Yi Zhengming, a graduate of Beijing University of Chemical Technology and a postdoctoral researcher. His work focuses on theoretical and experimental research, industrial development, and practical applications in the fields of mass transfer and separation engineering, including fundamental studies on fluid flow and mass-transfer processes in distillation, process intensification and application research, foundational studies on the hydrodynamics and mass transfer of packing materials and packed towers, as well as theoretical and experimental research on novel continuous multi-stage counter-current stepwise crystallization.
