In March, Changsha has just shaken off the chill of winter, and the vibrant breath of spring is already upon us—what a warm, blossoming spring it is! “I exercise, I am healthy, I am happy!” At 4:00 p.m. on March 7, the grounds of Boneng Technology’s factory rang with enthusiastic cheers, shouts, and applause, marking the official kickoff of events leading up to the upcoming 112th International Women’s Day.
In March, Changsha has just shaken off the chill of winter, and the vibrant breath of spring is already upon us—what a warm, blossoming spring it is! “I exercise, I am healthy, I am happy!” At 4:00 p.m. on March 7, the grounds of Boneng Technology’s factory erupted in enthusiastic cheers, shouts, and applause, marking the official kickoff of events leading up to the upcoming 112th International Women’s Day.
This fun sports event was spearheaded by the Boneng Trade Union, which encouraged enthusiastic participation from all employees. The union’s organizing committee designed six competitive events: Hula Hoop Fun, One-Minute Rope Skipping, Ping-Pong Ball Relay, Shuttlecock Kicking, Blow-and-Table-Tennis-Ball, and a 20-Meter Round-Trip Relay Race. Each event is designed to enhance participants’ motor coordination, making it both a test of physical stamina and a showcase of athletic skill. The joyful spirit of this year’s fun sports meet resonated throughout every corner of Boneng Technology, with every employee radiating laughter and boundless pride as they showcased their individual talents and strengths.
From the opening to the closing of the sports meet, every athlete in competition captured the hearts of the employees present. We breathed the same air and shared the same destiny, cheering each other on with shouts of encouragement and applause. The venue was alive with laughter and joyful cheers, vividly reflecting everyone’s boundless enthusiasm and a heartfelt rediscovery of our inner childlike spirit.
This year’s fun sports meet has strengthened cohesion within departments, boosted employees’ enthusiasm for participation, and enhanced inter-departmental communication. It has provided a platform for employees to showcase their talents, foster friendships, and cultivate resilience, while promoting the principles of “joyful and healthy exercise.” Athletes demonstrated their true abilities with style and excellence, achieving a dual victory in both spiritual civilization and athletic performance. The event was imbued with added fun and childlike innocence, allowing employees to experience the joy of sport, the thrill of competition, and the satisfaction of participation, thereby fostering an awareness of rules and unlocking their athletic potential. It served not only as a comprehensive assessment of employees’ psychological and physical fitness as well as their level of sportsmanship, but also as a reflection of their organizational discipline and overall spirit.
Although this year’s Fun Sports Meet has come to a close amid cheers, the spirit of collectivism demonstrated by the athletes and event staff—especially the referees and the union organizing committee—will serve as a model for us to emulate.
