In the course of contemporary corporate development, intelligent manufacturing has emerged as a leading trend driving industry advancement. To enhance our company’s management capabilities across all aspects of intelligent manufacturing and other areas, on February 20, 2019, a delegation of ten representatives from our production, safety, quality, R&D, and equipment management departments—led by General Manager Mr. Zhang Yong—visited Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for an educational tour and study session.
In the course of contemporary corporate development, intelligent manufacturing has emerged as a leading trend driving industry advancement. To enhance our company’s management capabilities across all aspects of intelligent manufacturing and other areas, on February 20, 2019, a delegation of ten representatives from our production, safety, quality, R&D, and equipment management departments—led by General Manager Mr. Zhang Yong—visited Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for an educational tour and study session.
First, accompanied by Sany representatives, the delegation watched a corporate promotional video that highlighted how Sany leverages internet technologies to deliver intelligent services. Subsequently, the group toured Sany Heavy Industry’s “Factory No. 18” in Changsha—a state-of-the-art facility spanning approximately 1 kilometer in length and 150 meters in width, with a total floor area of about 118,000 square meters, widely regarded as a model for smart manufacturing in China. Inside the workshop, only robots and a small number of human operators are at work; AGV automated guided vehicles deliver materials directly to designated workstations according to pre-programmed instructions, ensuring safe and efficient operations, significantly reducing logistics costs, and virtually eliminating on-site inventory.
Subsequently, we engaged in a nearly hour-and-a-half-long symposium and exchange with Shugen Interconnect, the internet company under Sany Group. Over the years, Sany Heavy Industry has evolved from a small rural workshop into what is now hailed as “China’s Smart Factory”; it has transitioned from an era of “mass manpower tactics” to one of intelligent manufacturing; and it has grown from a private enterprise founded in Maotang Township, Lianyuan City, Loudi, into a leading manufacturer of construction machinery. Although our visit lasted only half a day, Sany’s robust corporate culture, lean production practices, and intelligent management systems left a profound impression on us.
Following the meeting, General Manager Zhang stated that Sany’s level of intelligent manufacturing has already taken the lead domestically and is keeping pace with international standards. Boneng should draw on and learn from the management practices of leading enterprises to avoid unnecessary detours and strive to catch up swiftly.
