The corrugated-guided floating-valve tray is a patented technology jointly developed by Changsha Boneng and East China University of Science and Technology (Patent No.: ZL 200520042783.6), representing a new type of high-efficiency floating-valve tray. This tray is widely used in the propylene column of million-ton ethylene plants and the xylene column of PX plants, with a maximum design column diameter of 11.8 meters.
A comparative test was conducted under identical operating conditions between the corrugated guide float valve tray, the FI-type tray, and the guide float valve tray. The results demonstrate that, compared with existing trays, the corrugated guide float valve tray described in this utility model exhibits significantly reduced entrainment, leakage, and tray pressure drop, while substantially improving tray efficiency, processing capacity, mass-transfer driving force, and operational flexibility. In addition, it is easy to manufacture and convenient to install.
